About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable General Practitioner to join Women’s Health Clinic dedicated to supporting women through their health journey – including PCOS, PMS , perimenopause, menopause, pelvic pain, and long-term conditions like fibromyalgia and endometriosis

 

Eastern health Women’s Health clinic will be dedicated to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for women. These clinics align with the Victorian Government's initiative to expand free women's health clinics across Victoria, ensuring equitable access to care. We are expanding to cater to chronic pelvic pain, menopause, PMS with a multidisciplinary approach which focuses on improving a person’s mental and physical well-being. With this recognition, we aim to serve patients by the development of an adequately resourced, patient-centred multi-disciplinary care model that provides timely access to high-quality assessment and management that is personalised to the patient’s needs. Our Women’s Health clinic is a collaboration between generalist, gynaecology, urology, general /colo-rectal surgery, gastroenterology, medical imaging, pain management and allied health offering a ‘one stop shop’ to women with gynaecological issues.

 

The General practitioner’s role will be instrumental in conducting health assessments, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and providing multidisciplinary care along with a psychologist, physiotherapist, social worker and Clinical Nurse Practitioner in a supportive environment. The role involves outpatient clinics assessments and planning , tailoring care

To provide excellent clinical care for his/her patients.

 

About you

Essential

  • Must be a registered medical practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Must have significant clinical experience, with experience and training in Women’s Health .
  • Must hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians(RACP) or hold equivalent qualifications to enable recognition as a specialist.
  • Must participate in relevant college continuing education programs particularly related to Allergy/Clinical immunology.

 

Other

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching of medical students and HMOs.
  • Teaching experience of other clinical staff – nursing and allied health.
  • Exposure to research practices and principles.
  • Familiarity with clinical information systems.
