About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Learning & Teaching Directorate as an administration assistant. 

Reporting to the Associate Director of Mental Health Learning & Teaching at Eastern Health, you will work closely with other members of the Learning & Teaching Directorate and in particular in relation to the Mental Health Transition to Practice Programs (Nursing & Allied Health graduate programs, transition to specialty practice programs, post graduate programs, and EN transition to practice programs). The role encompasses daily administrative operations, data management, support of marketing and recruitment activities, support for event management, management of bookings for internal education facilities and will be based on site in Box Hill.   

The Mental Health Learning and Teaching teams work to promote and facilitate a culture of enquiry and learning across the workforce of Eastern Health through the delivery of training, education, coaching, supervision and assessment. The Mental Health Learning & Teaching team recruits and supports over 100 novice learners from nursing and allied health disciplines.

  • Have experience in the provision of administrative and secretarial support services, including preparation of agendas, minutes and providing support to committees as required 

  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (MS365, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).    

  • Have the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail 

  • Have the ability to work autonomously with excellent organisational, critical thinking, problem solving and prioritisation skills 

  • Have highly developed interpersonal skills
