About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic administrative assistant to join the Learning & Teaching (L&T) Specialist & Advanced Practice team at Eastern Health. This role will be integral in managing systems and processes to support our education team in the provision of clinical education and training in Critical Care, Perioperative and Specialty Medicine areas. The successful applicant will work closely with the L&T Specialist & Advanced Practice leadership group to coordinate administrative duties, including but not limited to database maintenance, reporting, room bookings, meeting documentation, scholarship activities, and applicant management for recruitment processes, including Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) and Postgraduate intakes.
The role requires well developed customer service skills, excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, IT expertise and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail. Refer to the attached Position Description for details.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Experience in the provision of administrative and secretarial support services, including preparation of agendas, minutes and providing support to committees as required
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and M365 products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, One Drive PowerPoint)
- Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exemplary communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail
- A proactive approach to work goals and inititive to drive changes to improve service delivery
- An ability to work effectively both individually and collaboratively as part of a diverse team
- Prior experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
- Knowledge of medical and educational terminology (desirable)
- Experience with online learning management systemes e.g. iLearn (desirable)
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
