About the role
The Associate Director Medical Workforce (ADMW) is responsible for effective coordination and management of the Medical Workforce Unit and the associated systems and processes. The ADMW ensures the operational effectiveness of the Workforce Unit by supporting the activity of the Recruitment, Operations and Senior Medical Workforce Team Leaders. The ADMW drives the development and maintenance of a sustainable, capable and effective workforce to support delivery of Eastern Health’s Strategy.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) relevant to position
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Healthcare in a senior management/leadership roles
- Workforce strategy, recruitment and retention initiatives
- Replacement workforce management associated systems and processes
- Quality improvement methodology and associated strategies
- Previous experience in a Workforce Unit (Medical, Nursing or Allied Health)
- Organisational and time management skills, including ability to manage competing priorities
- Research, publication and public presentation skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
