About the role   

Box Hill Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse with Perioperative experience to join the Operating Theatre as Associate Nurse Manager - Urology.

Our Operating Suite is home to an excellent team of highly skilled, dynamic, supportive and friendly staff. Comprised of 11 Operating and Anaesthetic rooms we are busy unit that services a broad range of patients within the Eastern community. We provide a 24-hour 7 day a week service. Box Hill hospital is located close to public transport including trams, trains and buses. 

Current surgical specialties include:- 

General, Colorectal, Upper GI, Bariatrics, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Vascular, Thoracics, Renal, ENT, Plastics, Breast & Endocrine 


 
About you    

To be successful in this role, you will require:  

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA   
  • A minimum of three years experience in Perioperative environment
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Perioperative nursing would be an advantage 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
