About the role
Box Hill Hospital is offering a permanent part-time Associate Nurse Manager position to join our dynamic Emergency Department.
We are seeking a motivated senior Emergency Nurse who wants to:
- Lead, mentor and support the nursing team to deliver high standards of patient care in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote safe, evidence-based practice and patient-centred care
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes
- Oversee the professional development of staff, including mentoring and guiding junior nurses
- Assist with the management of patient complaints, incidents and escalate issues as required
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Current valid nursing registration with AHPRA
- Knowledge and ability to achieve Key Performance Indicators
- Previous experience in management or leadership position is highly desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care/Emergency Nursing
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills
- A willingness to embrace Eastern Health values and contribute to a positive team culture
- Excellent patient assessment skills and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to high quality patient care and consumer engagement
- Strong time management and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
