About the role
Our Fetal Diagnostioc Service (FDS) is a multidisciplinary team within Eastern Health that triages and coordinates antenatal care for our most high risk pregnancies and families. The Clinical Midwifery Consultant (CMC) is responsible for providing clinic support to our registered midwives within FDS whilst upholding the position requirements of a CMC. FDS works with our COGU Ultrasound team, Maternal Fetal Medicine Consultants and MFM Midwife to counsell and coordinate care for our families accross the continuum. The FDS CMC will report directly to our Deputy Director of Operations Women and Children and Director of Midwifery.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Masters Qualification within Midwifery or relevent Postgraduate qualification to support the role.
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Working relationships with external education providers (RANZCOG, Universities or COPPM)
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
