About the role
The ICT Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is a member of the Infrastructure and Communications team responsible for delivering a high level of technical support, development and management of core infrastructure, Cloud and Online platforms, security systems and applications across all Eastern Health sites.
This position will provide key expertise and assist with the delivery of the key systems and initiatives derived from this initiative, Cloud platforms (Public and On-premises/Private), VMware, Citrix Desktop virtualisation, Server and Desktop hardware, Operating systems, Backup and recovery, System security, patch management and Identity technologies.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- 4+ years' experience in a similar position and/or extensive technical knowledge
- Proven experience with Cloud technologies, primarily Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, etc
- Proven experience with Microsoft server Operating Systems and applications
- Scripting and automation skills - PowerShell
- Experience with administrating VMware environments
- Experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, Azure AD
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Cybersecurity principals, trends, and controls. Demonstrates application to work and thinking.
- Excellent communication skills – will be engaging with business users and project stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills including proficiency in technical writing and documentation
- Good administrative and time management skills
- The flexibility to relate to different kinds of people and situations
- The ability to work in a team while being self-reliant and showing initiative
- The ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Availability to participate in after-hour support for related network and security problems and projects
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
