Critical Care Registered Nurse – Ward 2.2 (Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology, Respiratory & Infectious Diseases)

About the role 

We are seeking a critical care nurse to join our team.  

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join Ward 2.2. 

Ward 2.2 is a fast‑paced clinical environment with a high proportion of monitored patients. A strong commitment to customer service and the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care is essential. Applicants should be flexible, organised, compassionate and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. 

 

About you  

 To be successful in this role you will possess: 

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA  
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Cardiac or Critical Care Nursing
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership capability
  • Sound clinical judgement and strong critical‑thinking skills
  • A commitment to delivering safe, high‑quality patient care
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment. 

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
