About the opportunity
Ward 7.1, Box Hill Hospital
Ward 7.1 is a 32-bed specialty medicine ward, with a dedicated acute stroke unit including thrombolysis management and telemetry. We are a preferred primary stroke service that has been nationally recognised for our door-in- door-out and door-to-needle times. We also provide care for general neurology, endocrinology and vascular patients.
Ward 3 East, Maroondah Hospital
3 East in Maroondah Hospital is a 30 bed surgical ward that specialises in ColoRectal, HepatoBiliary Surgery, Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Plastics and Urology Surgery.
3 East also cares for medical speciality patients under the gastroenterology team, and we have our own General Medical Unit as well.
About you
- Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA
- Acute nursing experience
- Availability to work a rotating roster
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
