About the Role
Ward 1 East is a specialised unit with nine acute adult mental health beds and eight addiction medicine detox beds. This supportive and therapeutic environment caters to consumers who benefit from a smaller, low-dependency setting for their acute care needs. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented care in a collaborative and nurturing atmosphere.

You will have strong clinical skills, including risk assessment and care planning, and the ability to build effective partnerships with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. To be successful in this role, you will:
-
Have recent experience in mental health or addiction medicine within Australia.
-
Demonstrate strong clinical skills in risk assessment, care planning, and mental health nursing.
-
Possess excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and patient care.
-
Be passionate about delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care.
-
Be committed to upholding professional standards and working within your scope of practice.
-
Have willingness and flexibility to work a rotating roster across all seven days of the week, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
