About the role


Box Hill CSSD is a dynamic and progressive department located in the new Box Hill Hospital Complex. We are responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical equipment for Surgery, Endoscopy and other areas of Box Hill Hospital. The CSSD team is skilled, friendly, supportive and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in the reprocessing of medical equipment. This will be an opportunity to develop your career in the sterilizing service.

 

Experience or knowledge of Decontamination and Sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with AS/NZS 5369 (2023) is required.

 

Ability to process specialised equipment including flexible endoscope & loan equipment is an advantage.

 

About you

 

To be successful in the role you will have:

 

  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Sterilizing Services
  • Experience in CSSD
  • Ability to work flexible rosters including Night Duty is essential
  • Basic Computer skills
  • A Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills
