Instrument Technician

 

  • Permanent Part Time (2 shifts per week!)

About the role

 

Box Hill CSSD is a dynamic and progressive department. We are responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical equipment for Surgery, Endoscopy and other areas of Box Hill Hospital. The CSSD team is skilled, friendly, supportive and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in the reprocessing of medical equipment. This will be an opportunity to develop your career in the sterilizing service.

 
Experience or knowledge of Decontamination and Sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with AS5369 (2023) is required.

About you 


To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Sterilizing Services
  • Experience in CSSD
  • Ability to work flexible rosters including Night Duty is essential
  • Basic Computer skills
  •  A Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
