About the role
We are looking for a motivated person who has knowledge and previous experience in Specimen Reception responsibilities in a diagnostic Pathology laboratory.
This position is suited to a person who understands Pathology, will be flexible to work a variety of shifts, and can work within a multi-discipline team.
This position is based at Angliss Hospital.
The Angliss Laboratory operates 24/7. Laboratory Assistants are required to work day shifts only, including weekends.
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
• VCE or qualification in Pathology
• Experience in Specimen Reception duties in a diagnostic Pathology Laboratory
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills
• Particular attention to detail
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
