About the role
The Clinical Midwife Consultant Grade 4, (Lactation Consultant) is a member of a specialist team and is accountable for the effective clinical midwifery management of people within a specific patient/client group, demonstrating superior consolidated clinical skills at a level of proficiency or expertise as aligned to the EH Nursing Midwifery Domains of Practice. The Lactation Consultant, as part of the specialist team, actively leads the clinical lactation service delivery, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to consider clinical quality and risk, service performance and care standards within the area of expertise.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Manager to list Key Selection Criteria
- Current IBCLC certification and Registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
