About the role
The Chemistry Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic and busy laboratory team on a permanent part-time basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen attention to detail, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive attitude in contributing to the team’s success. You will be expected to work a 24/7 roster and every second weekend.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Previous experience in a diagnostic laboratory (Chemistry/Biochemistry)
- A Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) with eligibility for membership to AIMS or AACB.
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a changing work environment.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
