About the role

 

Linwood PARC is a subacute mental health facility. PARC clinicians contribute to the quality clinical service delivery and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team. We are seeking a mental health clinician who will work in accordance with recovery orientated practice and promote the principles and practice of service coordination to ensure that participants are at the centre of service delivery and receive a timely and coordinated response to their health and social needs.

 

 

About you 

 

To be eligible for this position you must have the following:

  • Registered nurse with a current annual registration in Division 1 issued by APHRA
  • Have a minimum of 24 months post graduate experience in a mental health setting.
  • Completion or involvement in a post graduate mental health qualification.
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy board of Australia, AHPRA with sound theoretical knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatments in mental health
  • Hold a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian association of Social Workers for membership as a social worker. Maintains compliance with the AASW continuing Professional Development Policy to meet the Eastern health Allied Health credentialling standard
  • As an allied health applicant, you have a minimum of 12 months’ experience as a registered clinician (as relevant) in a mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated high level of ability to provide discipline specific and mental health assessment, consultation and advice to consumers, carers and other team members
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
