About the role
Brief description of your department & explanation of the role.
A key role of a Non-residential withdrawal nurse will be to support people to safely achieve neuroadaptation reversal or stabilisation through an abrupt cessation or gradual reducing regime. The role will work with individuals seeking to cease or reduce substance use to a level that restores a person’s health and wellbeing in the short-term, provide a firm foundation for a person’s longer term improved health and wellbeing, provide a step-up or step-down response for clients requiring stabilisation, including pre- or post-residential withdrawal treatment and will form part of an integrated and coordinated care pathway by linking complex clients with the care and recovery coordination function.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess;
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in AOD
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
