We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Grade 4) - PET Supervisor - to provide fixed-term leadership coverage within our growing Nuclear Medicine and PET service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Grade 3 technologist, or above, looking to further develop their leadership capability within a dynamic tertiary health service.
About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Program Director Nuclear Medicine, the PET Supervisor will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the PET service while maintaining a strong clinical presence within the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the PET service
- Providing expert clinical and technical PET and Nuclear Medicine services
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting staff and students
- Coordinating education and competency development programs
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety and radiation protection requirements
- Developing and maintaining PET protocols and workflows
- Monitoring service performance and achievement of key performance indicators
- Contributing to service development, innovation and patient experience initiatives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Eastern Health sites
- Supporting accreditation, quality improvement and operational projects
About You
We are looking for a respected clinician and emerging or established leader who is passionate about patient-centered care, quality improvement and workforce development.
Essential Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Radiation Practitioner (Nuclear Medicine)
- Current Victorian Radiation Use License
- Demonstrated experience working at Grade 3 level or above
- Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience within a PET service
- Current Driver's License
- Strong clinical expertise in PET and Nuclear Medicine practice
Highly Desirable
- Experience managing or assisting in the management of a PET or NM service
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining clinical protocols
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve services and influence outcomes
- Experience teaching, training and mentoring staff and students
- Strong understanding of quality, accreditation and safety requirements within medical imaging services
