About the role
The Patient Revenue Services Officer will undertake the Billing, Receipting and Collections process for Eastern Health in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
ESSENTIAL
Revenue services / Finance experience in the health industry with a clear understanding of the basics of accounting
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in providing excellent customer service, either in person or phone based.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workflow to deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications, MS office including Word and Excel.
DESIRABLE
- Demonstrated billing experience in a similar role ideally in a hospital/healthcare/Aged care setting Revenue services / Finance experience in the health industry with a clear understanding of the basics of accounting
- Proven understanding of Private health fund claiming process, inclusive of Medicare, Private health funds, TAC and Workers Compensation
- Sound knowledge of Patient Management systems i.e. iPM or other
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Experience with PowerBilling, Revenue Collections (PBRC) Software
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
