About the role

We are searching for skilled and experienced musculoskeletal clinicians to work in part-time roles as part of our weekend service.  

 

As the right person for this role, you will be expected to apply your commitment to the Eastern Health value of ‘Healthier Together’ through the highly skilled management of your primarily musculoskeletal caseload; through your effective collaboration in your physiotherapy team; and through your skilled contributions to broader teams & activities that ensure the overall delivery of great care, everywhere, every time. This role is required to support our weekend Physiotherapy Grade 1 and AHA staff. Experience in delivering effective supervision & facilitating optimal learning experiences for all is desirable. You will need to be an enthusiastic team player who is highly resourceful, agile and innovative. Having excellent prioritisation, time management and communication skills and with a commitment to the ongoing growth, development of yourself and the service. Supporting the service on public holidays as available will be an advantage to the team. 

 

This role will be supported by direct and reflective supervision with Grade 3 and Grade 4 Senior Physiotherapists.  

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess: 

Essential 

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy 
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist. 
  • Eligibility for Membership of Australian Physiotherapy Association 
  • Relevant clinical experience in acute musculoskeletal physiotherapy with experience at grade 2 level. 
  • Experience in the care of patients following orthopaedic surgery (trauma and elective) 
  • Experience in the supervision of staff including Allied Health Assistants 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain change-readiness, agility & a solutions-focus, particularly in times of high demand. 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication & organisational skills in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care, evidence-based practice and applying these at an individual patient & unit/service level. 
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team. 

Desirable 

  • Participation in effective supervision of Grade 1 physiotherapists and AHAs 

 


Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
