Eastern Health is one of Victoria's largest public health services. As a values-led, integrated service united by our Healthier Together promise, we deliver high-quality care, support and service to a broad and diverse community across Melbourne’s east and beyond.
About the role
We are seeking a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our Specialty Medicine team at Box Hill Hospital, providing physiotherapy services across Stroke, Neurology, Oncology and Renal specialties. This opportunity is well suited to a clinician with acute neurological physiotherapy experience who is looking to further expand their expertise within a diverse specialty medicine environment through a rotational model of care.
Working within Box Hill Hospital’s nationally recognised Acute Stroke Service, you will provide evidence-based assessment and treatment to patients with complex needs while contributing to Eastern Health’s innovative in-reach rehabilitation model. Supported by experienced senior clinicians and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the acute setting.
In addition to clinical practice, you will have opportunities to contribute to student education, quality improvement and service development initiatives. As part of a recently expanded service, you will help shape innovative models of care while continuing to grow your clinical and professional skills in a supportive environment.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration
- Experience in acute stroke/neurology clinical practice.
- Highly developed communication, teamwork and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound knowledge of community organisations and networks.
