About the role
The Portfolio Reporting Lead is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving performance reporting, dashboards, analytics, and data-driven insights across Eastern Health’s Capital Delivery portfolio, Asset Management – Engineering Infrastructure portfolio, and Building Services Maintenance & Repairs activities.
A core function of the role is to provide executives with full visibility of all activity and performance across this complex portfolio. It ensures that senior leaders, operational teams, and project stakeholders have consistent and accurate, actionable insights that support month-end reporting cycles and key governance forums. Through the development of accurate data sets also support key governance with strategic planning, risk mitigation, compliance, resource management, and delivery of Eastern Health’s infrastructure obligations.
The role will also organisation wide data integration, new system implementations and automation, and ensure alignment of data structures and business processes across key operational systems to improve the quality, timeliness, and reliability of capital and infrastructure reporting.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be results focussed with experience in:
- High-quality, accurate, and timely performance reporting delivered consistently.
- Effective system integration outcomes achieved in collaboration with enterprise partners.
- Development of integrated dashboards and reporting tools that meet user needs and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Improved data quality, reporting efficiency, and portfolio transparency.
- Strong stakeholder satisfaction and constructive collaboration across departments.
- Contributing to improved asset reliability, maintenance performance, and capital project delivery outcomes.
- Supporting capital reporting budget timelines and compliance with governance requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio reporting, business intelligence, analytics, or performance management.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI platforms), Excel, data modelling, and ETL tools.
- Experience with asset management, engineering, maintenance, construction, or infrastructure-related data.
- Strong communication skills, able to present data clearly for executive and operational audiences.
- Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality reporting outputs.
- Experience working in public health, government infrastructure, or regulated capital delivery environments.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
