About the role
The CCU provides a rehabilitation program in a community mental health residential setting to adults with a lived experience of mental ill health. Residents and carers have high levels of contact with staff, collaborating to assist residents reach individual recovery goals. The CCU features a highly structured and supportive physical environment working to promote self-determination and empowerment, all under the Collaborative Recovery Model. As an RPN2 within the multidisciplinary team at the CCU, you will provide case management to residents, perform nursing discipline specific tasks, assessment and interventions, as well as participate in the facilitation of the group program and provide support to the novice workforce.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current Nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in Mental Health or working towards
- Demonstrated experience working in the mental health setting
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
