About the role
Canterbury Road CCU is a mental health rehabilitation unit part of the Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Program. It is a 20-bed community based 24/7 residential facility that features a highly structured and supported physical environment. The CCU operates under a recovery-orientated model of care, providing a collaborative and consumer centered treatment approach to assist consumers in reaching their individual recovery goals and maintain wellness. The registered nurse works within the multidisciplinary team and provides discipline specific assessment and intervention, as well as providing case management to CCU residents.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate qualifications in mental health or working towards
- Experience working in a mental health setting
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
