About the role
This role provides locum Renal and Obstetric Medicine physician services across Eastern Health, supporting the delivery of high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. As a Locum Renal and Obstetric Medicine Physician, you will provide specialist care across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting services throughout Eastern Health.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Must hold current registration in the State of Victoria.
- Must hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
- Must hold recognition of Obs Med training (Dip Obs Med or equivalent).
- Must be recognised by Medicare as a consultant physician in Nephrology (as a member of the ANZSN) or hold an equivalent qualification to enable recognition as a specialist Renal Physician.
- Must participate in relevant college continuing education programs particularly related to Nephrology.
- Must have significant clinical experience, with training in Nephrology and/or Obstetric Medicine.
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
