About the role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional Respiratory Scientist to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Eastern Health Respiratory Laboratory on a fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Clinical Sciences Operations Manager your duties will involve all aspects of respiratory function testing. You will be responsible for the performance of both routine and complex lung function tests including the preparation and cleaning of equipment, quality control, instruction of patients and assessment of test validity in the Respiratory Laboratory. Other duties include Oxygen Therapy assistance for patients, and participation in departmental research and development activities.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor of Applied Science or equivalent
• Effective written and oral communication
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
• Customer focus approach
• Shows initiative and flexibility
• Computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel
• Understanding of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and their management and application
