The Box Hill Early Psychosis team, part of the Infant Child Youth & Family Mental Health Service (ICYMHS).The multi-disciplinary Early Psychosis team aims to enhance early recognition, and reduce the duration and/or impact of first episode psychosis for children and young people aged 0 – 25 years and their families.
About the role
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will provide a key leadership role within a multidisciplinary Early Psychosis Community Team, which is part of the Eastern Health, Mental Health Program, Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). To work as part of a multidisciplinary community team in the provision of high quality mental health assessment, case management and clinical treatment and interventions for children, young people and their families presenting with first episode psychosis. As a Senior Clinician, the incumbent will have considerable experience in mental health services and have a commitment to ongoing professional and service delivery development. The incumbent will work in partnership with the Team Leader to provide consistent and effective clinical and operational leadership. The incumbent will additionally be involved in the ongoing strategic development and implementation of enhancements to the model of care for children, youth and families, ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidenced based mental health models of care such as the EPPIC Model and current Victorian State Government initiatives, including the Recovery Oriented Framework. The incumbent will actively support the maintenance of a positive culture within the Box Hill Early Psychosis Team and broader ICYMHS service.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Registered Psychiatric Nurse registration with AHPRA; for Social Work, eligibility for membership of AASW
- At least five years clinical experience working with children or young people
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
