About the role

 

The Eastern Dual Diagnosis Service is looking for the right person to join the service as a Senior Dual Diagnosis Clinician. In this role, based in Box Hill, you will provide clinical leadership and will work closely with key stakeholder services and consumers and carers from across the mental health and alcohol and drug sectors in the eastern metropolitan region; and you will play an integral role in supporting the implementation of effective and integrated services to people with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.

The successful applicant will have significant experience in clinical service delivery in mental health and or alcohol and drug settings, the provision of workforce development and quality improvement activities and in the provision of integrated recovery focused ways of working.

 

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Relevant registrations for your discipline/Current registration with AHPRA 
  • Specialist knowledge of the issues and complications arising with the assessment and management of consumers experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a range of services at a high standard, including specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions, to people with a serious mental illness and a serious substance use disorder within a demanding work environment.
  • A strong commitment to high quality care.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
