  • Temporary Full Time (6 months) | 80 hours per fortnight | 1 ADO a month

About the role

 

Position Purpose

To provide timely and accurate delivery of goods and services to all the hospital’s wards and departments.

 

 Major Duties and/or Responsibilities

  •  To accurately scan the ward Imprest.
  •  To receive incoming goods ensuring goods are signed for and the condition of goods recorded accurately on all inwards documentation. This included entering the receipt of goods into the warehouse management system (Oracle) for receipting purposes, following the Standard Operating Procedures.
  •  To Pick, Pack and deliver all items as per the picking slip or delivery documentation to wards and departments accurately and timely manner meeting the department SLA requirements, ensuring all deliveries are signed for as per the department Standard Operating Procedure. 
  •  To assist with Cycle Counts as per the department standard Operating Procedure.
  •  To maintain general cleanliness of store room and loading dock.
  •  Attend any meetings relevant to the Supply function, as requested.
  •  To provide relief cover in absence of other Storeperson across Eastern Health.
  •  You may be required to deliver goods to sites utilising internal vehicle.
  •  Where it is required you may be enlisted to assist Departments and Wards in planning stores layout of Imprest goods.
  •  Utilisation of Forklift & Reach fork.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess: 

  • Previous sound store and warehousing experience.
  • Have sound experience in use of Manual handling equipment. (EG: powered forklift equipment)
  • Have sound computer literacy, use of previous warehouse management system, Microsoft Package.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of Goods receipting processing, including receipting into a warehouse management system.
  • Have experience in the use of barcode scanners / readers
  • Previous sound experience in Cycle counting / stocktaking
  • Previous sound experience in store Housekeeping
  • Previous sound experience in Pick / Pack and delivery processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer service of internal and external customers, committed to effectively meet their needs in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be capable to adapt to move around to various sites where required
  • Must hold a current Victorian motor vehicle licence, preferably Medium Truck License
  • Must hold a Forklift Licence.
