Team Leader | Lived Experience Workforce

 

  • Temporary Part time | Experience work-life balance 
  • 0.6 EFT | 45.6 hours per fortnight | Experience flexible working 
  • Eastern Metropolitan Region – primarily based at either Richmond or Box Hill, will negotiate suitable site with successful applicant dependent on their location

 

Turning Points Lived Experience Workforce are looking for a team leader to join our growing team. The Team Leader for the Lived Experience Workforce will play a vital role in providing support, guidance and mentorship to our lived experience workforce comprising of lived experience peer workers and trainees. The role will be based across Turning Points sites including Richmond, Box Hill and Ringwood.

About the role

Are you passionate about supporting staff, or are ready to take the next step in your lived experience career, to help them grow and develop in their roles?

Are you excited about the thought of joining a growing team of lived experience workers across Turning Point? 

Well, an exciting opportunity now exists for team leader to take up a role within Turning Points Lived Experience Workforce.

The role of the team leader will be to provide support, guidance and mentorship to our lived experience workforce comprising of lived experience peer workers and trainees.

This role also requires independent and autonomous work practices.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Lived experience of substance use and recovery, and a demonstrated ability to utilise lived experience purposefully and intentionally to provide hope and a belief in recovery 
  • Previous work experience within the AOD sector as a lived experience worker including experience with supervising and supporting staff  
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team including the ability to express own viewpoint and respect the views of others 
  • the ability to manage time and resources effectively  
  • well-developed word processing (Microsoft Office suite), PowerPoint and other computer skills, including the ability to navigate online platforms
