About the role
Centre Ward is a 32 bed Medical Unit. The Ward Clerk provides clerical assistance to the NUM or relevant clinical staff to enable the smooth operation of the ward. Performing patient related clerical duties, maintaining medical records and communicating effectively and courteously at all times with patients, relatives and hospital staff are all vital aspects of this role.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Computer competent; with excellent working knowledge of Patient Management Systems,
- Attention to detail
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Advanced telephone skills and clerical skills
- Ability to provide quality customer service in a friendly and professional manner
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
- To have an interest in working in a patient centred environment
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to work within deadlines
- High degree of flexibility.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
