About the role
The Allied Health Educator is responsible for the facilitation and development of interprofessional education initiatives that foster a culture of clinical learning and capability development across Allied Health professions at Eastern Health.
The Allied Health Clinical Educator will assist the Allied Health Clinical Education team in collaborating with members of the Learning & Teaching Directorate and Allied Health Directorate to design, develop, deliver and evaluate education activities based on identified priorities. The Allied Health Clinical Educator will work to develop interprofessional education opportunities to build interprofessional collaborative practice capability in allied health staff.
About you
A senior allied health professional with a strong clinical background and experience in education, you will have demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate and facilitate interprofessional education that develop collaborative practice capability and practice. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work with multiple professions and are committed to excellent clinical care.
- Recognised tertiary qualification in relevant discipline and eligibility for current registration AHPRA (where appropriate) or accreditation with relevant self-regulating professional body.
- Extensive clinical experience and least 7 years of experience within a relevant profession.
- Applied use of education skills, methods and e-learning technologies to develop and deliver interprofessional education.
- Experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards.
- Experience in evaluation of clinical education and professional development of staff and students.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Post Graduate qualification in Health Professions Education or equivalent or working towards completion (desirable)
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
