About the role

The Allied Health Interprofessional Lead Educator is responsible for the strategic oversight of key allied health interprofessional educational initiatives, including leading on the development, implementation and evaluation of projects that strengthen clinical learning and foster interprofessional collaborative practice across Eastern Health. The role provides educational leadership and expertise to support organisational learning priorities, working in partnership with the Eastern Health Institute, Allied Health Directorate and clinical programs. It also provides professional supervision and line management to relevant education staff, ensuring effective coordination of education activities and workforce development.

This position involves:

• Provide strategic educational leadership to strengthen clinician capability, promote evidence-based interprofessional collaborative practice, and foster a culture of clinical learning across Eastern Health.
• Lead the identification, design and delivery of educational initiatives by partnering with key stakeholders to address learning needs, workforce priorities, and organisational objectives.
• Provide expert advice and consultation on interprofessional education, learning design, educational best practice, and workforce capability development.
• Monitor and evaluate education programs and initiatives, using outcomes and feedback to drive continuous improvement and support high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Lead and support allied health education staff and stakeholder partnerships through effective line management, professional supervision, and collaborative relationships that advance organisational learning goals.

What you’ll bring

• Recognised tertiary qualification in an Allied Health profession and current registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for membership to relevant self-regulating professional body. 
• Post Graduate qualification within profession, education or equivalent 
• Extensive clinical and educational experience within healthcare and/or higher education settings, with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and workforce capability building.
• Demonstrated expertise in interprofessional education and learning design, including the use of contemporary educational methods, technologies, and e-learning solutions to develop and deliver effective learning programs.
• Strong strategic, organisational and project management skills, with experience leading quality improvement initiatives and implementing innovative solutions to complex organisational challenges.
• Advanced leadership and interpersonal skills, including highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, supervision, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Sound understanding of the healthcare environment, including relevant legislation, policy frameworks, strategic priorities, service delivery issues, funding models, and the ability to build effective partnerships to achieve organisational objectives. (Current driver's licence required.)
