About the role

 

 

We are looking for enthusiastic ANUM to work within our recently refurbished Older Adult Acute Mental Health ward and a newly developed Memory Care Area  (due to open soon). This unique opportunity will provide you with the capacity to develop advanced skills in Older Adult Acute Mental Health, along with being part of a friendly and supportive team environment. 

 

This Role includes: 

 

    • Working closely with the Clinical Nurse Manger, Nurse Unit Manager and Multidisciplinary Team to ensure the provision of safe and effective recovery oriented care. 
    • Availability to work across all shifts. 
    • Ample opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about, including working ‘in-charge’ of shifts as required. 
    • All nursing positions are supported by a dedicated leadership team, including our Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Clinical Nurse Manager and Clinical Nurse Educator providing opportunity for growth, development and career advancement.

About you 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

 

  • Manager to list Key Selection Criteria
  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA 
  • Post Graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing is required
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience in acute environment setting
  • A strong commitment to high quality care 
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team 
  • Excellent communication and organisational skill

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
