Clinical Nurse Educator, Student Programs 

  • Permanent Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight
  • 5 weeks’ leave with ADO applicable
  • Located at Peter James Centre, with occasional travel to other Eastern Health sites
  • Come and join an exciting Interprofessional education team, supporting our Nursing and Midwifery student programs at Eastern Health

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator, Student Programs is responsible for the planning, implementation and support in Nurisng and Midwifery student programs across Eastern Health.  The position provides leadership and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to enhance education and support staff in providing a safe and welcoming envioronment and provide a quality exeprience for students and learners. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

    • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
    • Postgraduate qualification, or currently enrolled in, relevant to profession
    • Clinical experience with education programs including experience in clinical practice supervision of learners (i.e students, graduates)
    • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Demonstrated organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail
    • Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Australian Drivers Licence

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offerred and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offerred and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
