About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grade 1 or 2 Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Department. We operate five pharmacy departments located across Eastern Melbourne that strongly value professional development and clinical education. We have an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offer opportunities for involvement to all staff.
This position is based at Angliss Hospital and will rotate to Wantirna Health and Peter James Centre when adequately trained. Participation in weekend and public holiday shifts and on-call roster is required once trained. There will also be opportunities to pick up extra shifts at any of the Eastern Health sites if interested.
Our pharmacists are supported by a broad multidisciplinary team, and we welcome pharmacists from the community and private healthcare sectors to apply.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Previous hospital pharmacist or community pharmacist experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to high-quality care.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
