  • Permanent Part-Time role (28 hours per week)
  • Based at Peter James Centre, with willingness to travel to other EH sites as required

About the role

 

A position has become available within the Eastern Health dietetics team for a Grade 2 Dietitian, with broad-ranging clinical experience, including subacute care. The successful applicant will work as directed, as part of the team of dietitians providing service to Eastern Health primarily at the Peter James Centre, but there may be a need/opportunity for travel to other Eastern Health sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a passion for providing care in the inpatient rehabilitation setting to join the Dietetics team at Eastern Health. Our team is made up of Dietitians working in multidisciplinary teams across the Continuum of Care in Acute, Subacute, Care at Home and Residential Aged Care settings. We have a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and research, mentoring and staff support through regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development. 

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Eligible for membership of the Dietitians Australia (DA) and the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) program 

  • Holder of a current Driver’s Licence 

  • Well consolidated post-graduate experience, particularly in Rehabilitation 

  • Demonstrated advanced dietetic skills across a range of clinical areas 

  • Demonstrated multidisciplinary teamwork skills 

  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop evidence based and innovative dietetic services 

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of research and quality improvement activities  

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and education  

  • Demonstrated experience in Dietetic student clinical education & training 

  • Availability for possible weekend rostering if required 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

 

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
