About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the GEM/REHAB@HOME team at Eastern Health 

The GEM/REHAB@ Home program has undergone rapid growth to be one of the largest GEM/REHAB@HOME programs in the state and aims to ensure that people with multiple and complex needs gain rapid access to specialist assessment, diagnostic and management services including care coordination in their own home. This is in order to optimise recovery and reduce risks associated with hospitalisation.  

 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, MOT prac or recognised equivalent.  
  • Full Registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership)
  • Previous Occupational Therapy hospital experience 
  • Victoria driver’s license 
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and also work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work a 7 day a week roster 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
