About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and passionate occupational therapist with clinical experience in the aged persons population to join the Transition Care Program team on a fixed term, full time position (maternity leave cover).
The Transition Care Program (TCP) at Eastern Health provides short term support and care to older people. Working as an integral part of the interdisciplinary TCP team, the occupational therapists are responsible for the provision of high-quality assessments and interventions, to maximise functional independence, safety and quality of life of the Transition Care Program clients.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills
- Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA
- An interest in working with the older persons population
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
