About the Role

 

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and passionate occupational therapist with clinical experience in the aged persons population to join the Transition Care Program team on a full time position.

 

The Transition Care Program (TCP) at Eastern Health provides short term support and care to older people. Working as an integral part of the interdisciplinary TCP team, the occupational therapists are responsible for the provision of high-quality assessments and interventions, to maximise functional independence, safety and quality of life of the Transition Care Program clients.

 

About you 


To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Highly developed interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA
  • An interest in working with the older persons population
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
