About the role

 

As the successful candidate, you will be a highly skilled and experienced Grade 3 Senior Clinician with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring clinical expertise in a specialist area of Occupational Therapy, demonstrating advanced, consolidated skills and contemporary professional knowledge.

In this leadership role, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention to patients while playing a key part in the development and growth of the service. You will also supervise and mentor Occupational Therapists and students, fostering clinical excellence and continuous learning.

The GEM/REHAB@Home program has undergone rapid growth to be one of the largest GEM/REHAB@Home programs in the state, and aims to ensure that people with multiple and complex needs gain access to specialist assessment, diagnostic  and management services in their own home.

Flexibility is key, GEM/REHAB@Home is a 7 day a week service and weekend work will be required.

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Qualifications

  • B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, MOT prac or recognised equivalent.
  • Full Registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership).
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License.

Essential

  • Minimum seven years clinical OT experience
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and leadership in acute, subacute and/or community Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated best practice in client assessment and intervention, including evidence of advanced clinical skills and client centred practice in hospital Occupational Therapy.
  • A clear understanding of Occupational Therapy Service strategic priorities within a large, healthcare network.
  • Well developed leadership skills, including the ability to undertake professional supervision and promote professional competence of other Occupational Therapy staff.

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
