About the role
We are looking for an early career, Grade 1 Social Worker who is keen to work within dynamic multidisciplinary teams that promote best practice and great patient outcomes in subacute clinical settings. The Social Worker will work in a supportive team environment that ensures structured supervision, professional development opportunities and support for career growth.
The Grade 1 Social Worker is required to provide quality care to consumers through the development of their clinical skills, effective communication techniques, as well as proactive participation within the Social Work service and multi and/ or interdisciplinary teams. The Grade 1 Social Worker must be an active learner who is open to engaging in feedback and professional development.
The Grade 1 Social Worker will have a ‘can do’ attitude, flexibility, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills, to engage as a valued member of the Eastern Health Social Work Department.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Excellent problem solving skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
