About the role
The Canterbury Road Community Care Unit (CRCCU) is a 20-bed community based residential facility and features a highly structured and supportive physical environment. Staff have high levels of contact with consumers, families are carers to promote self-determination and assist them in reaching their individual recovery goals. The unit operates under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the framework for recovery-oriented practice in a collaborative, team-based environment.

As the CRCCU Grade 2 Social Worker, you will provide high quality social work assessment, intervention and consultation services, as well as case management, individual group work, discharge planning and supervision to the novice social work workforce. 

 

About you 
To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A degree qualification in social work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers as eligible for membership as a social worker 
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, including case management 
  • Experience and understanding of NDIS
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, computer literacy and embracing health technologies and informatics


Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
