About the role
Eastern Health invites applications for the position of Basic Physician Trainee (BPT3) in Adult Medicine. This role offers a well-supported training and education program to facilitate exam success and professional development. Trainees are supervised by experienced Educational Supervisors and multiple National Examiners who provide mentorship and clinical guidance.
As a BPT3, you will manage the assessment, treatment, and discharge of general and designated specialty medicine patients. You will also oversee HMOs and interns and undertake mandatory Registrar rotations within Eastern Health, including at Latrobe Regional Health Service.
The successful applicant will be required to register with and complete the requirements of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) Basic Physician Training Program, reporting to the Director of Physician Education on all training matters.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current general registration with AHPRA
- Have successfully completed at least 2 years of Basic Training and have it accredited with RACP by Feb 2026.
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
