About the role
Applications are sought at Box Hill Hospital for the advanced bariatric surgery Fellowship position. This position provides an exposure in the order of 250 cases with a high primary operator rate within a well-established bariatric unit. The surgical experience incorporates sleeve, band, bypass, duodenal switch and revisional surgery as well as opportunities to be observe robotic bariatric surgery if interested. The Fellow will be involved in ongoing research interests through the unit as well as participating in the emergency general surgery on call roster. A portion of the experience is through private assisting although the majority is in the public sector.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
