Eastern Health
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services and have a proud history of serving a diverse community.
Our Employee Value Proposition is “Being a part of Eastern Health means belonging to a welcoming team of healthcare experts”.
This statement aligns with our promise to our communities, patients, consumers and staff that we will be HEALTHIER TOGETHER. Bolder than a vision for the future, our promise calls us to action. We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.
About the role
The TY Fellow position is based at Box Hill ICU, a 20-bed unit (currently funded for 10 ICU equivalents) within Eastern Health’s Intensive Care Service (EHICS). The role offers exposure to a broad range of medical and surgical cases, including experience with the EHICS ECMO service, a Tier 3 (Initiate and Refer) site within the Victorian ECMO Service.
Designed for trainees approaching completion of their ICU training, the TY Fellow position bridges the gap between registrar and consultant. The fellow will be supported in developing increasing clinical autonomy and non-clinical skills, with regular supervision by SOTs. Feedback is gathered weekly via the EH Trainee Feedback platform, with formal progress meetings every three months to set goals, monitor development, and ensure appropriate support toward independent practice.
Please refer to the Position Description for further information regarding duties and responsibilities.
