2026 Graduate Registered Nurse Program (GNMP25)

  • Part-time: 64 hours per fortnight (ongoing employment upon completion of the program)
  • Excellent graduate-to-educator ratios

Additional graduate nurse positions have become available at our health service, commencing this financial year (March 2026). 

 

These positions are open to graduates who were 1) eligible for the PMCV 2025 (for 2026) graduate match, and 2) have thus far been unsuccessful in matching with a health service. If you previously matched and declined your offer, you will not be eligible for consideration this round.

 

Recruitment decisions will be merit-based, however, priority consideration will be given to applicants who meet the following: 

  • are Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents
  • have completed an approved nursing or midwifery program offered by a provider in Victoria or border community
  • are recipients of the Victorian Making it Free to Study Nursing and Midwifery initiative 

 

Please note: Graduate nurses and / or midwives who have already been allocated a position with a health service are ineligible to apply. Health services may request a statutory declaration from applicants confirming they have not been allocated a position.

About the Role

Our Graduate Registered Nurse Program is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our graduates.

 

We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.

 

We have four positions available for nursing graduates in our General Nursing pathway (12 months with 2 rotations).

About You 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

  • Current condition-free AHPRA registration 
  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

These placement appraisals are to be uploaded to the "Additional Documents" field. Only the summative pages are requested. Please ensure that the pages contain:

    • scoring
    • feedback
    • assessor signature
