Administrative Assistant - Hospital Admission Risk Program (HARP) and Chronic Rehab

 

 

  • Permanent Part Time | 16 hours per week 
  • Based at Wantirna | Occasional work across other sites
  • Multidisciplinary dynamic team supporting a home visiting program and Chronic Rehab Groups

About the role

 

 

An exciting opportunity exists for an appropriately experienced Administration Assistant to work within the Integrated services team, HARP and Chronic Rehab programs.  

 

 

The position provides key support for clinical service delivery aimed at preventing hospital admissions and supporting complex clients in our community. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the provision of high quality, professional service to consumers, their families and carers, and to clinical staff.  

 

 

This is an essential role that ensures the smooth and efficient program operations of a dynamic department. Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills and a high level of attention to detail are vital for success in this position.

 

 

Duties may include but are not limited to managing reception, telephone and email enquiries, referral processing and timely data entry, records management, word processing, ordering and maintaining stock and supplies, and a broad range of administrative tasks, as required.     

 

 

This may involve working across sites depending on service demands.  

 

 

About you 

 

 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

 

 

  • Demonstrated customer service for internal and external stakeholders and ability to effectively meet their needs in a helpful and professional manner 
  • Attention to detail  
  • Ability to work autonomously  
  • Demonstrated ability to organise resources and establish priorities  
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, resourceful and adaptive to change  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Demonstrated time management capabilities and ability to work to a deadline  
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology and previous experience in the healthcare industry 
  • Experience/proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel  

 

 

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
