About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Analytics End-user Support to join the analytics team at Eastern Health. This role is key to transforming how the analytics team collaborates on data and analytics projects with the business. The Analytics End-user Support will be part of a small team led by the Associate Program Director - Analytics Business Partnering, supporting the development of analytics self-service capability at Eastern Health. Key to the role's success will be the ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders and the analytics team. This is a great time to join the growing team as the organisation embarks on its journey to uplift its data and analytics capability significantly.
The role will:
- Support the development of analytics self-service capability at Eastern Health.
- Work with business partners to identify and categorise analytics personas with differing needs for self-service capability.
- Lead the identification and/or development of training products to assist in building self-service capability.
- Conduct group training sessions as required.
- Conduct one-on-one training sessions with key stakeholders to familiarise them with and improve their proficiency using key analytics data and tools.
- Build simple dashboards and reports in Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint Lists, integrating with other tools on Microsoft Power Platform such as Power Automate, Power App, etc.
- Respond to relatively simple requests for access to data.
- Provide feedback to the analytics team regarding end-user needs so that these can be built into analytics services.
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and build a reputation as the “go-to” person for personalised analytics support.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of analytics tools and techniques to provide relevant advice to end users.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Microsoft BI Stack experience (SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Excel, Power Platform).
- Proven ability to develop compelling Power BI reports, scorecards and dashboards the organisation uses.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and assess training materials suitable for the audience.
- Expertise in delivering training sessions that significantly uplift end-user capability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Be organised and manage conflicting priorities to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate at all organisational levels.
- Ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or a related quantitative field.

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
